Looking back on the time spent in her class, I can clearly see how passionate she was about teaching. Her enthusiasm was contagious. I wanted to be in that class.
Now that I am doing what I love, I too, understand that passion. Not only do I put it into my work, but I try to transfer that passion when I talk about my work.
And, most of the time, I have found that tapping into that passion has helped me to overcome my shyness and reluctance to talk to people. Somehow it just seems easier to talk when I have something that I am excited to talk about.
So, thank you Mrs. Armitstead for teaching me math. Thank you for instilling a love of math. And, thank you for inspiring me.
Have you had a teacher who inspired you? I'd love to hear your stories!
