The first store employee I encountered wasn't sure where they were. She took me to the three places she thought they should be. As we were walking the aisles, she introduced herself as Nancy and explained that she was new to this store.
We still couldn't find the chocolate chips, so Nancy suggested that I follow her to find someone who could help. We walked over to the produce section where a bunch of employees were restocking. In a loud voice Nancy announced, "We are on a scavenger hunt for chocolate chips. The first one to find them wins!"
Three employees jumped up and rushed to the task. My chocolate chips were found in no time.
Who ever thought that grocery shopping could be so much fun? It is episodes like this that make me such a loyal Trader Joe's shopper.
What is it that you do to inspire loyalty with your customers? Do you remember their names? Do you have extra special packaging? Do you give a little extra gift with purchase? Find that "something" that makes you memorable to your customers.

P.S. I served Chocolate Cookie Butter Bars. Sorry, I haven't written down my recipe yet. However, here's a link to my famous Pear Pizza made with all Trader Joe's ingredients.
